David Greenwald

Administrator

David has been in management for many years. He attended the University of Connecticut and is licensed in nursing home administration. He is married with 3 children, loves spending time with his family and enjoys the outdoors. He has much passion for short and long-term care.

Erika Potter
Erika Potter

Recreation Director

Erika has worked in healthcare since she was 17. She was at her first nursing home job for 12 years. She started in dietary for 10 years while putting herself through college. Upon graduation she started in recreation and has been doing so for 11 years . She has an Associates degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Quinebaug Valley Community College, a BGS with a major concentration in Psychology and minor in Sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University, along with taking two Activity classes at Manchester Community College. When she is not with the residents, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies.

Sylwia Wollenberg

Director of Admissions

Sylwia joined the Ark Governor's House team in 2021, first at the front desk and is now the Admissions and Human Resources Assistant. She has worked in the senior living and home care fields for over 20 years. Her passion has always been finding ways to make a difference and improve the lives of others. She is the proud mom of 4 amazing children, a graduate of CCSU and a longtime resident of Simsbury. When she is not at work, you can find her hiking to the local Heublein Tower or taking her rescue dog Emmy for a walk to nearby Stratton Brook Park. Sylwia also enjoys visiting local art galleries and trips to NY city with her girls.

Mary Lord
Mary Lord

Senior Director of Clinical Operations

Mary Lord started her 36 year nursing career as a volunteer at a neighborhood nursing home at the age of 13 and worked her way up to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Her true love is the field of Gerontology, which is apparent in her daily commitment to the residents of ARK Healthcare. She graduated nursing school in 1984 from the St Francis Nursing School in Hartford, CT, and has held many nursing roles since that time. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she has been an MDS Coordinator, Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Medicare Reimbursement Specialist, Infection Control, Day Supervisor, and Staff Development Nurse. When she is not at work, Mary enjoys living life to the fullest, spending time with her 3 grown children. She also enjoys relaxing at either her beach house or her RV on the lake surrounded by friends and family.

Robert Shepard

Social Worker

Robert has worked in the healthcare industry as a social worker for over 16 years. He has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from CCSU and a master's degree in Social Work from Springfield College. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his 3 children, coaching soccer, hanging out with his wife Kristen and their rescue dog Archie.
